Professional Development and Skills

I am involved in many different types of professional development activities across a variety of skill areas related to my expertise. In the past year, I have received training in human subjects research and psychiatric rehabilitation education. Over the last three years, I have completed AOTA's Fieldwork Educator Certification course. I became am a registered yoga teacher with specialized training in trauma-informed yoga instruction, yoga for kids, and yoga for children with special needs. I have been teaching group exercise professionally since 1985, and am certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). I maintain certification in NBCOT, licensure to practice OT in Massachusetts, registration as an occupational therapist and a yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance, and have active memberships in AOTA, WFOT, and MAOT.
